About Destiny Twelve Sailing experience at Port Klang
Offered by Bedarr Boatique, the Destiny Twelve sailing experience is a hands-on introduction to ocean yacht sailing in Port Klang. Designed for small groups and available only on selected dates, this experience focuses on participation, comfort, and quality time on the water.
This Day sail departs from Royal Selangor Yacht Club, passes Tanjung Harapan, and continues towards North Port and Pulau Angsa depending on tide and wind conditions. Along the way, you will experience sailing alongside busy ferry routes and commercial ships, offering a unique view of Malaysia’s active maritime waterways while remaining in safe and controlled sailing areas.
While onboard with our skipper (captain), guests are welcome to hear his personal stories from sailing around the world, including the challenges he faced and the quiet moments of solitary night sails at sea. These shared experiences add depth and meaning to the journey, turning the sail into a memorable and inspiring conversation.

Destiny Twelve is a full hardtop ocean-going yacht, providing shade from the tropical sun and protection from sudden rain. Unlike open boats, this allows the sail to continue calmly without rushing back to the marina when weather conditions change.
Guests remain shaded, dry, and comfortable while still experiencing the movement and rhythm of real sailing.

Royal Selangor Yacht Club
The Royal Selangor Yacht Club (RSYC) was founded in 1963 and is widely known as the home of sailing in Malaysia. It is where many Malaysians first discovered sailing and learned to go to sea.
RSYC has a strong royal connection, with the Sultan of Selangor as its Patron, reflecting its long standing role in developing sailing in the country.
Each year, RSYC hosts the Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta, a famous sailing event that runs from Port Klang to Langkawi and attracts sailors from around the world.
From this historic club, Fabian Fernandez, owner and skipper of Destiny Twelve, went on to complete a self funded round the world sailing journey. He is the first Malaysian member of the Royal Selangor Yacht Club and Ocean Cruising Club to achieve this milestone.
Today, sailing from RSYC aboard Destiny Twelve allows guests to be part of a real Malaysian sailing story, connecting local heritage with a modern ocean adventure.

Cancellations made 3 days or more before the scheduled sailing date are eligible for a 60% refund, excluding any payment gateway charges, service fees, commissions, or administrative fees.Cancellations made less than 3 days before the sailing date, as well as no-shows, are non-refundable.
- Is this a private charter?
Yes. This is a private day sail experience aboard Destiny 12, exclusively for your group. You will not be sharing the yacht with other guests.
Do I need sailing experience?
No. No sailing experience is required. This experience is designed for beginners and anyone curious to discover how a cruising yacht is sailed. Our skipper and crew will guide you throughout the day.
Will the sail be cancelled due to weather?
Safety always comes first. If weather or sea conditions are unsuitable, the trip may be rescheduled. We will inform you as early as possible.
Will we get hands-on sailing experience?
Yes. If you wish, you’ll have the opportunity to steer the yacht, trim the sails, and learn the basics of sailing under the guidance of an experienced skipper.
Can we simply relax instead of sailing?
Absolutely. You are welcome to be as involved as you like or simply sit back, enjoy the scenery, and experience a relaxing day on the water.
Is this suitable for couples, families, or friends?
Yes. This private experience is perfect for couples, families, friends, or small groups looking to enjoy a memorable day together.
Can we fish during the trip?
Yes. Guests are welcome to enjoy recreational fishing while sailing, subject to weather, sea conditions, and the skipper’s guidance.
Will we meet the skipper?
Yes. Your skipper is Fabian Fernandez, who completed a self-funded solo circumnavigation of the world. You’ll have the opportunity to hear firsthand stories and insights from his remarkable sailing journey.
Is alcohol allowed onboard?
No. Alcohol is not permitted during the Day Sail Hands-On Experience. This is a family-friendly
sailing activity focused on safety, learning, and enjoying the sea.
We kindly ask all guests to refrain from bringing or consuming alcoholic beverages onboard.Can we extend the sailing time?
No. The Day Sail Hands-On Experience operates on a fixed schedule.
The yacht departs at the scheduled time and must return to the marina by 5:00 PM.
Please arrive on time, as late arrivals will reduce your time on the water.
Time extensions are not available, as the yacht must adhere to marina operating schedules and other commitments.Right of Withdrawal
