At Bedarr Boatique, we believe sailing is more than just a pastime — it is a lifestyle, a skill, and a pathway to friendships and adventure. That is why we are proud to base ourselves at Peninsular Sailing Club (PSC), Pulau Indah Marina.
Sailing for Leisure
Bedarr Boatique introduces people to the sea through leisure sailing trips (Trips Round the Bay) around Pulau Indah. From calm waters near Selat Lumut to the scenic mangroves of Pulau Carey and as far as Pantai Acheh, these sailing experiences allow anyone from beginners, families, or friends. Sailing at Peninsular Sailing Club (PSC) is best to enjoy the magic of wind and water. Sailing on classic keelboats like the Squib makes it safe, steady, and fun.
Membership with Peninsular Sailing Club
Beyond leisure, sailing becomes even more rewarding through membership at Peninsular Sailing Club. By joining, you:
- Make new friends who share the same interest in sailing.
- Learn hands-on about boats, seamanship, and the art of sailing.
- Progress from coastal sailing to offshore cruising, and even prepare for long passage adventures.
- Enroll your children in the Beruang Programme, where they can learn dinghy sailing safely in groups with a coach boat.
Every Sunday – Racing Round the Cans
One of the most exciting parts of membership is the weekly Sunday race at Peninsular Sailing Club. Known as round the cans racing, this event lets sailors test their skills in short courses marked by buoys.
It’s the perfect way to:
- Sail alongside many boats in friendly competition.
- Push yourself to improve every week.
- Challenge not only your fellow members, but even the Commodore, Mr. Jeremy Camps , who is always up for good competition on the water.
Whether you’re new to sailing or an experienced hand, the Sunday race is where skills grow, friendships deepen, and the spirit of sailing truly comes alive.
Reviving a Lost Skill
Malaysia was once known to the world through the Straits of Malacca before the Twin Towers. Our ancestors sailed, traded, and played with jong sailboats as children. Today, that skill is fading due to engines and modern convenience. Bedarr Boatique is here to revive sailing as a living tradition — fun, practical, and inspiring for all ages.
Join Bedarr Boatique at Peninsular Sailing Club. Learn to play with the wind and water, enjoy leisure sailing, and race every Sunday with a fleet of friends.
